Caring for your Good Vibe purchase

A question we often get asked is how to clean up after the fun is over. 

It’s pretty simple really – either spray with a fit-for-purpose toy cleaner and leave for a minute before wiping dry with a paper towel or carefully wash with mild soapy water and leave to dry.  The bonus of the toy cleaner, aside from convenience, is that you can be sure the anti-bacterial nature of the fluid will be working its magic for you.  However, even hand soap will be effective if that’s all you have available.

Before packing the toy away, make sure it is fully dry – either air dried or with a paper towel. 

Waterproof Toys

These are the easiest to clean up given the fact the unit won’t suffer a good splashing of soapy water or a liberal dousing of toy cleaner!

Anal Toys

For obvious reasons, any toys which will be used in the anal area will need to be comprehensively cleaned to ensure they remain hygienic.  This is especially important for any toys which will be used both in the anus and vagina (think beaded dildos, for example).  We’d recommend you use a toy cleaner for this purpose and ensure the toy is well cleaned after anal use before using it anywhere else!  

Nooks and crannies

For some toys, the very reason they are so delightful to use is what may make them slightly trickier to clean.  We’d recommend spraying toy cleaner into any of those harder to reach places (i.e. clitoral suction cups) and then use a paper towel to wipe dry.
